  • No. Hidden Routes is designed for riders of all experience levels — from complete beginners to experienced mountain bikers. The electric assist makes climbing easier and helps riders build confidence off-road. However, riders must be able to ride an normal bike.

  • You do not need to be super fit. The electric assistance allows riders of different ages and fitness levels to enjoy the trails together comfortably. 

  • Modern e-MTB batteries typically provide more than enough range for half a day and for full day tours and hires we provide the location of places your can stop off for lunch and charge your battery while you are there.

  • The minimum age allowed is 14, however our bikes are suitable for those 5ft 3in/160cm and above.

    Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Our guides are British Cycling MTB Trail Leader accredited and hold an Outdoor First Aid Training certificate.

  • We recommend:

    • Comfortable outdoor clothing

    • Waterproof jacket

    • Gloves

    • Flat-soled shoes or trainers

    • Layers suitable for Welsh weather

    Avoid loose clothing that could catch on the bike.

  • You get wet! This is Pembrokeshire after all… Seriously, we have a wide range of trails to choose from so in all but the most extreme weather conditions there is always somewhere to ride.

  • You can legally ride our electric mountain bikes almost anywhere a normal pedal mountain bike is allowed
